Purpose of Role
The Content Creator – Motion Design and Editorial is a modern video editor who lives at the intersection of post-production, design and culture forward storytelling. This is a hands-on role for someone who has a solid foundation of skills that take a project from start to finish to delivery. Designing motion graphics from scratch, editing, mixing sound and adding finishing touches that make content feel polished and alive.
This role is all about making stories move — literally. You’ll help shape how our brand shows up through video-first storytelling, turning big ideas into visuals that hit hard and make the complex feel simple.
You’ll play a key role in building and evolving our motion language — setting the vibe and standard for how our brand moves and feels across every touchpoint including digital, retail, social and experiential.
Some days you’ll be animating from scratch, other days you’ll be cutting and finishing edits to get them out into the world yesterday. Collaboration is the name of the game — you’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with designers, producers, and creatives to craft content that’s engaging, innovative, and culturally dialed-in.
Your Impact
- Bring ideas to life through motion — design and animate high-quality motion graphics that elevate our storytelling across digital, social, retail, and experiential platforms.
- Make complex simple — use motion design and editing (cut, pace and polish with expert level finishing). to showcase our products in ways that help consumers easily understand features, benefits, and innovation.
- Shape our brand in motion — help establish and evolve the animation guidelines and motion language that become part of our broader Brand identity system.
- Make it move — collaborate with designers to reimagine still assets into dynamic, scroll stopping, moving content that connects with consumers.
- Stay plugged-in— keep up with trends in content creation, animation, branding, and channel best practices to keep our content fresh.
- Get it over the finish line — when needed, quickly and efficiently edit, version, finish, and export video content across multiple channels and placements, ensuring every delivery is polished, on time and on-spec.
Qualifications
- Technical mastery in Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, plus Davinci resolve.
- Proven craft creating a wide range of motion assets including animated logos, product animations, product explainers, supers, etc.
- Hands-on video expertise — confident editing, finishing, and exporting video with a deep understanding of post-production workflows.
- Design chops strong foundation in typography, layout, color, composition, and motion principles.
- Conceptual thinker and storyteller — able to turn brand strategy into engaging, narrative-driven visuals.
- Organized - Skilled at balancing multiple projects, meeting fast deadlines, and clearly communicating progress.
- Collaborative spirit — Brings positive energy in team settings, adapts quickly to feedback, and Keeps standard of creative output high.
- Trend awareness — tuned into platform best practices (from social to retail to digital) and the latest in sports + creative culture.
- A portfolio that shows off your taste, technical skill, and ability to create content efficiently using all the tools at your disposal.
- Channel fluency — general knowledge of e-commerce, email, social, and performance marketing best practices.
- Future-focused mindset — excited to evolve with a rapidly changing digital landscape, including familiarity with generative AI tools and workflows.
- BFA in graphic design, visual communications, or another relevant field
- 3+ years of professional creative/design experience (including video editing and/or animation)
- Bonus skills - 3D tools such as Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya.
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.
- Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Base Compensation
$63,555.60 - $87,388.95 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
