Position Summary

The Director of Program Management for OCOO Strategic Initiatives is responsible for leading cross functional teams to lead the commercialization of new product and process innovations. They provide program management, leads and directs execution of schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors programs/projects from initiation through delivery and interfacing with internal customers and cross functional partners.
This individual will engage with other senior leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives.

Organizes project activities and interdepartmental meetings; ensures communication facilitates completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. May assign and monitor work of technical personnel providing support and interpretation of instructions/objectives. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. 
Regularly interacts with executives and/or major suppliers and possibly customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with suppliers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. 
Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods. Understanding of retail industry dynamics desirable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Innovation team to understand the technology and subsequently work with cross functional teams to bring these innovations through to the customer.
  • Develop cross functional plans that commercializes these technologies. 
  • work with external partners and suppliers to execute this plan
  • lead the supply chain team through the commercialization of new product 
  • provide program management for the organization as these programs work their way through the enterprise 
  • Provide timely communication to all stake holder

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • A natural strategic problem-solver. 
  • Experience in spotting blockers and dependency problems in advance of impact and moving solutions for these blockers forward 
  • Expert knowledge of standard processes of program management and scrum methodology, ability to drive standardization and process efficiencies
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Education And / Or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of related experience or Master's degree with 10 years of related experience
  • 6+ years of management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert in area of expertise. 
  • 10+ years leading programs at a large scale

Other Requirements

  • Travel 20% of the time, both domestically (US) and Internationally
