Purpose of Role
The essential duties of the Content Creator include creating compelling, channel-specific stories and visuals, as well as driving visual and technical innovation for all content outputs.
This teammate will be responsible for executing the content creation process including ideation, pre- production, capture (may include stills, motion and audio), and post production. This teammate should have a deep, working knowledge of both video and photo techniques and will be able to capture, edit and deliver video and photo as needed.
This teammate should be, at their core, a storyteller. They should be driven to bring compelling athlete, product and Brand stories to life in a way that connects deeply with consumers. Not all the stories will be overtly exciting on the surface. It will be this creator’s job to develop and craft all stories in an interesting, insightful, Brand-right way that drives consumer behavior. This creator must be adept at storytelling across all lengths and formats, including short-form, long-form and static content.
This teammate will deliver effective content to all of UA’s channels, including social (paid and organic), email, site / app, loyalty and retail. The Content Creator must be committed to doing routine work with excellence, delivering high volumes of content while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Your Impact
- Complete all aspects of post production for projects. This includes choosing selects (photo & video), exporting selects (photo & video), video editing, photo retouching, color adjustment (photo & video), exporting and archiving final assets (photo & video).
- Work cross functionally with channel owners, brand marketers and creatives to ensure content is effective, brand right and complies with global brand standards.
- Execute still and motion content capture at multiple production levels and environments (studio, on-location). This includes selecting and assembling proper camera and lighting equipment, quickly editing and process imagery and/or motion content, optimizing content for channel specific delivery, and properly maintaining camera systems, lenses, lights, and content creation tools.
- Explore visual and technical innovation for content for the Brand. Research applicable trends and subject matter to maintain an in-depth understanding of video and photography best practices and procedures.
- Ability to do simple design and motion graphics to facilitate content delivery. These skills will need to be developed if they do not exist.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Photography or Video (optional if portfolio is strong)
- 3+ years of experience in sports or commercial photography and video
- Experience shooting celebrity talent
- Advanced knowledge of digital still and motion content capture
- Ability to use and scale to different types of content capture equipment based on project needs
- Deep understanding social media and digital marketing channels, including the types of content needed to resonate with channel-specific consumers
- Strong visual skills, including an eye for good lighting, shot composition, and use of color
- Understanding of artificial and natural lighting
- Extensive knowledge and management of the post production process: digital capture, editing, color, retouching and archiving. Motion graphics experience is a plus
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to meet quick turnaround times, multi-task, prioritize projects and communicate progress and milestones under tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment, take direction and adapt quickly during shoots while maintaining the UA standard and aesthetic
- Knowledge of the global video, photography and content industry including identifying and predicting current and future trends, best practices and workflows

Base Compensation
$61,344.00 - $84,348.00 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
