Purpose of Role
The Professional, Planning Operations & Analytics drives continuous improvement in planning processes, ensuring global standards while accommodating regional needs. This role collaborates with various teams to create efficient procedures and implement global processes. Additionally, this role is responsible to deliver training (when required), assist in assessing employee skills, and fosters a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Good communication and the ability to execute in collaboration is essential for success. This role executes Global Planning teams analytics, building core analytics reports & dashboards, improving consistency in data and how it’s leveraged as a core driver of performance.
Your Impact
• Assist in the continuous improvement of core planning processes by gathering data and feedback on existing workflows and contributing ideas for enhancements.
• Work with functional colleagues to understand current planning processes and provide support in evaluating their effectiveness.
Creates Global Planning Analytics processes to drive operational success in service of the global planning teams & UA.
• Build dashboards, reports, and similar analytics tools to support business needs using Tableau.
• Utilize SQL and Snowflake to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Develops and follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across various planning tasks.
• Promote adherence to standard systems and processes, supporting efforts to reduce reliance on non-standard tools.
• Participate in training on new technologies that improve planning processes, providing feedback on usability and effectiveness.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning by participating in training programs aimed at improving skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in planning, marketing, or a related role.
• Understanding of supply planning, with exposure to simulation-based scenario planning, digital twins and long-range forecasting using historical data.
• Familiarity with planning processes within a retail and wholesale context, with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to adapt quickly to new challenges.
• Willingness to work in cross-functional teams and support various operational tasks.
• Skilled in data analysis and proficient with visualization tools to create insights and drive decision-making.
• Proficiency in Tableau for building dashboards and visual analytics.
• Experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
• Working knowledge of Snowflake for cloud-based data warehousing and analytics.
• Ability to interpret data and assist in shaping business narratives, providing support for decision-making processes by contributing data-driven insights.
• Proficient in Blue Yonder or other major planning tools
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work within a team, support planning initiatives, influence and communicate complex concepts clearly.
Workplace Location
• Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD office.
• Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week

Base Compensation
$65,413.60-$81,767.00 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
