Purpose of Role
The Sr. Accountant, Revenue will support the month end close process specifically surrounding revenue and ASC 606 accounting for the Americas region. This position will also maintain and control general ledger accounts and ensure that transactions are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP. This position is a backfill for an existing open role on the team.
Your Impact
• Support the Americas Regional accounting close and reporting process, including:
o Prepare journal entries, analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations related to revenue and ASC 606 accounting, including key revenue dilution reserve entries, gift card accounting, and loyalty program deferred revenue entries
o Ensure all posted transactions are accurately recorded and properly classified
o Assist in the preparation of segment and consolidated financial statements, variance analysis, and support the external audit through communication with auditors as point of contact for requests
o Prepare financial schedules to assist in variance analysis reviews for close meetings, own follow ups and documentation of late entries or adjustments to ensure completeness and accuracy over financial reporting
o Partner with key stakeholder departments such as FP&A, Accounting Operations, Internal Controls, Treasury, and Tax, to ensure accurate and complete accounting before end of the close process
• Ownership of accounting for certain balance sheet accounts and follow-up to ensure all activity is appropriate and supportable within Blackline.
• Support with quarterly review process and the year-end financial statement audit with external auditors as well as supporting global statutory audits as needed.
• Ensure that all reporting deliverables are provided in a timely manner for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings.
• Support the Manager, Revenue Accounting and Director, Accounting with ad-hoc requests.
Qualifications
• Must have a Bachelors and/or Masters Degree, Accounting or related field
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience, either in Public Accounting or Corporate Accounting
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to work effectively in teams and with cross functional partners
• Attention to detail resulting in consistent, reliable, and accurate work product
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Flexible, adaptable, and proactive
• Solid analytical skills, with ability to prioritize
• Proficient in PC applications (e.g. Excel, Microsoft Office)
• Accounting systems experience (SAP or Blackline a plus)
Workplace Location
• Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Baltimore, MD
• Work Schedule: Hybrid – 4 days per week in office
• Travel: No Travel
• Licenses/Certifications: CPA or CPA track preferred

Base Compensation
$74,409.60-$93,012.00 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
