Position Summary

The Sr. Creative Lead is a masterful storyteller on Under Armour’s Global Brand Team who is motivated and energized by the power of sport. The Sr. Creative Lead’s creative work needs to carry the passion of the world’s greatest athletes—from this generation and the next—and the power to help inspire the very best in human performance.


The Sr. Creative Lead is obsessed with athletes, attitude, authenticity, and all things digital, at every customer touchpoint. This versatile storyteller is also driven and unrelenting in the face of the challenges that balancing big projects and tight deadlines bring. Sr Creative Lead is responsible for driving a given project. The Sr. Creative Lead will work closely with multiple stakeholders from marketing and creative leadership to operational and production partners streamlining creative development, ensuring the brand vision executes successfully.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsibility over Brand and Seasonal Creative across all digital, social, web, experiential, and print marketing platforms. This includes meeting with partners to align on marketing/creative strategy, as well as collaborating with creative and cross-functional partners.
  • Utilize regional and global data to elevate consumer experiences through art and copy
  • Collaborate with global creative/regional creative/marketing/ops teams to ensure creative/marketing/ops alignment
  • Design with versatility and constantly seek new and innovative ways to elevate customer experience
  • Work collaboratively with the Creative Director, designers, agency partners, external resources, copy, category partners to produce transformative storytelling executions and experiences that reflect and elevate brand’s DNA and standards.
  • Influence cross-functional teams on brand excellence and current/future design trends

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Solid portfolio showing best in class solutions 
  • Repeated examples of progressing towards mastering the fundamentals of our brand and has a strong focus around those principles. Great output consistently. 
  • Understanding of the full consumer journey and is focused on connecting all consumer touch points 
  • Experience in working with external partners directly and is well versed in effectively communicating feedback, gaining alignment of cross-functional teammates + CDs and steering partners towards brand right solutions 
  • Great collaborator who does not just take part in cross-functional projects but is vocal and understands how to lead/inspire & get the best out of their teammates. 
  • Understanding of and the ability to direct all aspects of creative: copy, imagery, design, retail, video and social content. 
  • Proven presentation skills and a track record of successfully pitching in concepts to leadership 
  • The ability to dissect complex problems and provide solutions. 
  • Presentation/Communication skills 
  • Thoughtful and considerate leadership skills 
  • Command of the Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Solid understanding of digital, print design 
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and build relationships cross-functionally 
  • Ability to have the hard conversations to protect the brand. 

Education And / Or Experience

  • 7+ Years in a design role, preferably agency or in-house.
  • 2-3 years of experience leading projects independently or with a team
  • BFA in graphic design, visual communications, or another relevant field
