Purpose of Role

The Sr. Designer is a masterful storyteller on Under Armour’s Global Brand Team who is motivated and energized by the power of sport. The Sr. Designer’s creative work needs to carry the passion of the world’s greatest athletes—from this generation and the next—and the power to help inspire the very best in human performance.

 

This multi-disciplinary role will drive, innovate, and enhance the customer journey with the larger Creative Organization. Part of the Brand & Futures Team, the Sr. Designer will bring the brand vision to life with a customer and culture centric mindset. They will work cross-functionally to visualize, experiment and craft brand vision across multiple channels. The Sr. Designer will collaborate with multiple stakeholders from marketing and creative leadership to operational and production partners streamlining creative development and ensuring the brand vision executes with excellence.

Your Impact

  • Brand and futures creative: concept, development, and design – across all digital, social, web, experiential, and print marketing platforms. This includes meeting with partners to align on marketing/creative strategy, as well as collaborating with creative and cross-functional partners.
  • Omni-Channel contributions and executions includes retail, social, communications, media
  • Cross functional team collaboration: Marketing, Product, Communications, Media, Global and In- Region Teams
  • Work collaboratively with Creative Directors, designers, copy, agency partners, external resources, category partners, and production partners
  • Design with versatility and constantly seek new and innovative ways to elevate customer experience
  • Taped into cultural trends and happenings
     

Qualifications

  • Solid portfolio showing best in class solutions
  • Strong conceptual & critical thinking skills
  • Great collaborator and communicator who understands how to lead/inspire & get the best out of their teammates
  • Understanding of all aspects of creative: copy, imagery, design, retail, video and social content
  • Proven presentation skills and a track record of successfully pitching concepts to leadership
  • The ability to interpret abstract ideas, dissect complex problems, and provide solutions
  • Comfortability with rapid prototyping
  • Willing to test & learn and not afraid to make mistakes
  • Command of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Solid understanding of digital, print design
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and build relationships cross-functionally
  • BFA in graphic design, visual communications, or another relevant field
  • 4+ Years in a design role, preferably agency or in-house
  • On-figure and still life photoshoot art direction experience preferred

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore HQ office.
  • Return to Work Designation: 3 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote. 
  • Travel: 5-10% of the year

Base Compensation

 $76,947.00 - $105,801.30 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
