Purpose of Role

This role is the commercial quarterback for Digital Commerce—bringing together cross-functional partners to translate the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-range Plan (LRP) into clear priorities, operating rhythms, and execution. You’ll ensure plans turn into results by driving alignment, accountability, and performance across the Commercial POD, while also owning Digital Commerce Operations and Customer Service to deliver a seamless, athlete-centric experience. In parallel, you’ll lead P&L growth and business development for emerging revenue streams, unlocking brand-accretive, profitable growth through new partners, platforms, and commerce models.

Your Impact

Commercial Leadership & Operating Rhythm

  • Orchestrate the development and execution of the AOP and LRP, aligning Commercial, Finance, Marketing, Technology, Merchandising, and Analytics.
  • Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating rhythms to drive performance against revenue, margin, customer , and experience metrics.
  • Translate strategy into action through clear milestones, governance, and performance reviews.
  • Drive real time testing, optimization, and contingency planning to continuously improve digital commerce performance. 

Business Development & New Revenue Streams

  • Own P&L leadership and growth strategy for Marketplace, Dropship, and Social Commerce.
  • Continuously identify, evaluate, and activate new platforms, partners, and commercial models that unlock incremental, brand accretive growth.
  • Build compelling business cases and roadmaps that balance brand integrity, athlete value, and financial return.
  • Stay ahead of emerging commerce trends and lead partner performance and optimization across external ecosystems.

Operations, Experience & Collaboration

  • Own Digital Commerce Operations and Customer Service, ensuring operational excellence and a seamless end to end consumer experience.
  • Improve workflows through process simplification, technology enablement, and scalable execution.
  • Lead and develop high performing teams while fostering strong cross functional collaboration and shared accountability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent experience); advanced degree preffered 
  • 10–14+ years of progressive experience in digital commerce, commercial operations, general management, or related fields, with demonstrated enterprise level impact.
  • Proven success leading and scaling operating models that translate strategy into execution across complex, cross functional organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to quarterback AOP and LRP execution, aligning stakeholders and driving outcomes in highly matrixed environments.
  • Strong digital commerce and analytics fluency, with a clear understanding of KPIs and performance levers (e.g., traffic, conversion, AOV, margin, LTV).
  • Experience establishing KPIs, scorecards, and operating cadences to manage performance, prioritize investments, and drive accountability.
  • Track record of using data, dashboards, and insights to diagnose business performance and inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Experience partnering closely with Technology, Product, and Creative teams; familiarity with agile delivery models and digital platforms is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, partnerships, or new revenue incubation, ideally within digital, platform, or marketplace ecosystems.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to influence P&L outcomes, investment trade offs, and growth decisions.
  • Recognized as a trusted, collaborative leader who can influence without authority, navigate ambiguity, and bring clarity, structure, and momentum to fast paced environments.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD HQ offices.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week
  • Travel: Ability to travel internationally and domestically (5-10%)

Base Compensation

 $207,151.04-$258,938.80 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
