Purpose of Role
The Sr. Director, CEO Operations serves as the strategic Chief of Staff to Under Armour’s Founder and CEO, playing a critical role in optimizing executive effectiveness and enterprise impact. This high-trust, high-visibility position ensures operational excellence across all facets of the CEO’s internal and external agenda—streamlining priorities, managing key relationships, and leading special initiatives that influence the direction of the brand and business.
Acting as the CEO’s right hand, the Sr. Director combines top-tier executive support with business acumen, cultural awareness, and cross-functional coordination. This role requires exceptional judgment, discretion, and agility in a 24/7, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive, emotionally intelligent leader with the capability to drive enterprise-wide execution while curating world-class experiences across executive, brand, and stakeholder engagements.
Your Impact
- Serve as the CEO’s primary operational partner, managing calendar, communications, and strategic priorities.
- Ensure CEO preparedness for meetings and events through briefings, materials, and aligned scheduling.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel, providing on-site support for key engagements.
- Lead daily planning and logistics for CEO presence at headquarters and major events.
- Collaborate with Communications to develop talking points, presentations, and public appearances.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives with Strategy, Brand, Legal, and Communications teams.
- Manage VIP experiences, event logistics, and premium gifting strategies.
- Liaise with UA’s Family Office and Sagamore Ventures to align personal and professional priorities.
- Act as a trusted representative for the CEO, managing high-level relationships and internal communications.
- Mentor administrative staff and foster a culture of excellence and brand alignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with typically 15 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 13 years of relevant experience or typically 19 years of relevant experience without degree
- Typically, 8+ years of management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert in area of expertise.
- Demonstrated leadership in complex, high-stakes environments with sound judgment and discretion.
- Skilled at navigating organizational dynamics and influencing across all levels.
- Highly adaptable and responsive, with a strong commitment to flexibility and travel.
- Excellent communicator with top-tier planning and execution capabilities.
- Deep alignment with Under Armour’s mission and strong grasp of sport, culture, and brand relevance.
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD office.
- Work Schedule: In-office 5 days per week.
