Purpose of Role

The Sr. Channel Planner – FH Women’s is responsible for the planning & execution of distribution and promotional activities for Under Armour products for its channel. This role requires understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes to effectively allocate resources and maximize ROI. The Sr. Channel Planner will work with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure alignment and drive business growth.

Your Impact

• Build bottom-up channel merchandise financial plans, ensuring alignment with broader regional goals.
• Run what/if scenarios to support decision-making and provide insights on potential channel performance outcomes.
• Track and test contingency pricing strategies, reporting results to leadership and making recommendations for adjustments.
• Develop weekly plans by price buckets (full price, promo, markdown) to ensure alignment with sales objectives.
• Collaborate with Regional Merchandise Financial Planning to ensure the reconciliation of topdown and bottom-up financial plans.
• Work closely with Regional Channel Merchandising to align the bottom-up plan with the
regional channel assortment strategy.
• Gather and present regional hind sighting data to support ongoing planning efforts.
• Work with the channel business team to ensure financial product inventory plans are in sync with business goals.
• Monitor financial performance against channel-specific targets, proposing adjustments when needed.
• Drive successful outcomes and alignment by collaborating with peers in the achievement of team goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with typically 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with typically 3 years of relevant experience OR typically 8 years of relevant experience without degree
• 3+ years of experience in Sales or Merch Planning, Demand Planning and Allocation.
• Experience in the apparel or footwear industry is preferred.
• Experience in executing successful Retail/DTC Channel strategies.
• Understanding of channel planning, with exposure to scenario planning and long-range forecasting using financial plans & historical data.
• Ability to interpret data and assist in shaping business narratives (story telling), providing support for decision-making processes by contributing data-driven insights.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate key data findings to non-technical teams, with guidance, ensuring alignment with broader business goals
• Knowledgeable in financial concepts, such as revenue, costs, and profit margins, as well as how they relate to planning processes to drive decision making.
• Develop skills in identifying problems and working with predictive analytics tools to support basic refinement of recommendations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work within a team and support planning initiatives.
• Solid experience with data analysis & visualization tools for reporting and insights, with experience in Blue Yonder’s Planning module or similar planning tools. 

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 3 days in-office per week through September 5, 2025. Beginning September 8, 2025, the in-office requirement will increase to 4 days per week. 
  • Travel: 5-10%

Base Compensation

 

 $77,043.20 - $105,934.40 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
