Purpose of Role

The Senior Product Line Manager, Women’s Train Apparel is aa critical leader within the global product creation organization responsible for driving the end-to-end strategy, creation, and commercialization of Women’s Train Product.

 

This role severs as the voice of the athlete, consumer, and marketplace, translating insight into commercially successful product platforms that fuel growth across global markets.

 

The Sr. PLM partners closely with Design, Regional Merchandising, Innovation, Development, Sourcing, Planning and GTM / Product Ops teams to build compelling, disciplined assortments rooted in key item dominance, innovation leadership, and merchandising rigor.

 

This leader owns the product from concept through go-to-market, ensuring clarity of product architecture, price strategy, and consumer relevance while driving sku productivity, margin health, and revenue growth. This role directly manages the product line manager and assistant product line manager and plays a critical role in scaling the Women’s Train business globally.

 

Your Impact

  • Build and manage product from concept to commercialization
  • Build and manage a discipline product architecture and assortment strategy anchored in key item platforms, athlete insights, and consumer demand.
  • Drive the Product Creation process with Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Sourcing and Planning.
  • Lead regular collaboration sessions with regional teams to better understand the athlete/consumer as well as identify trends and market opportunities
  • Regularly conduct industry and competitive analysis to be the expert on the latest innovations, materials, price points, fabrication methods and color
  • Drive SKU productivity, margin optimization, and revenue growth through data-informed product decisions and marketplace insights.
  • Partner with Innovation, Design, Planning, and Regional Merchandising on creation of design brief, with final accountability for the brief.
  • High profile and impactful communication is key internally as well as externally throughout the Product Creation and Go to Market process.
  • Deliver high-impact internal storytelling through product presentations, line reviews, and leadership forums.
  • Collaborate, communicate, inspire, manage, mentor and foster a high performing team.
  • Strong presentation, time management, collaboration, communication and influencing skills
  • Lead Key strategic initiatives for the growth & expansion of Women’s Apparel Key Items.
  • Develop multiple GTM & development cadences for delivering product to market in partnership with Product Operations, GTM and Product Development teams
  • Grow & scale capacities of dedicated direct reports- Product Line Manager, Assistant Product Line Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years of product line management experience
  • Ability to multi-task across categories and functions
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience developing, pricing strategies, assortment mix that supports Brand position by channel, sales tools and executing final product mix
  • Product marketing and Consumer insight experience
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a direct report. 
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including assortment planning, pricing strategy, and retail math.
  • Strong presentation, storytelling, and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD office. 
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week. 
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally (5-10%)

Base Compensation

 

 $141,028.96-$176,286.21 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
