Purpose of Role

The Sr. Professional, Global Brand Marketing partners with the Director to craft and manage the direction of the Under Armour brand. She helps shape the brand positioning and drive global brand campaigns. She works with the Director to turn insights into compelling strategies & briefs that inspire internal and external partners to deliver engaging, culturally relevant work. The Sr. Professional works closely with the Director to architect consumer-first marketing plans that create Brand love, drive conversation, and deliver against key brand metrics. She also monitors the competitive landscape and keeps an eye on relevant trends – helping the team identify opportunities to resonate in culture.

Your Impact

Global Brand Marketing Campaigns

  • Support the Director in developing global brand marketing campaigns for key brand initiatives, innovations, and sports/cultural moments.

 

Brand Positioning & Brief Development

 

  • Support the Director in developing and refining the UA brand positioning, ensuring it resonates with target audiences and differentiates the brand in a competitive marketplace.

  • Support the Director in writing brand briefs that outline key objectives, target audience insights, brand messaging, and campaign/initiative goals.

Cross-Functional & Agency Collaboration

 

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including regions, creative, social, category marketing, sports marketing, media, PR, production, and operations to ensure global brand marketing initiatives are aligned with brand goals.

  • Support the Director in briefing and managing external agency partners, driving them to create impactful work that delivers against objectives and key brand metrics.

 

Competitive & Trend Monitoring

  • Monitor competitive landscape and consumer/cultural trends to identify ways UA can show up with a unique POV that connects to sports culture and creates community.

Brand Stewardship 

  • In partnership with the Director, stay connected with category marketers and regional marketers to enable brand consistency. 
      

Lead Pinterest Page       

 

  • Own and manage the UA Pinterest account as a vehicle to increase our resonance with women. Act as the primary decision-maker of content uploaded to the Pinterest page.  

 

Seasonal Strategy + Calendar Alignment

 

  • Support the Director and SVP in building seasonal brand themes and aligning on the seasonal key story frameworks.

  • Participate in key GTM milestones.

 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
•    2+ years of experience in marketing, ideally within the sports industry.
•    Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and work with diverse teams.
•    Skilled communicator with an ability to communicate with peers, leaders, and external partners.
•    Positive outlook, curious, action-oriented, team player, desire to learn and grow.
•    Strong passion for the Under Armour brand.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week. 
  • Travel: Must have a willingness to travel including on weekends

Base Compensation

 

 $79,130.53-$98,913.17 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
