Purpose of Role

The Vice President of Product, Train & Women’s, is responsible for setting and driving the long-term product vision and roadmap across Men’s and Women’s Training Apparel & Footwear, while influencing the enterprise point of view for Women’s cross-category strategy. This role will unlock what’s next for the brand by combining consumer-obsessed, athlete-led insight with sharp business acumen and cross-functional leadership.

 

The VP will oversee the full product creation process, from concept to consumer, shaping line architecture, managing franchises, driving innovation adoption, and embedding commercial discipline into every decision. This role requires a proven ability to lead global teams, deliver margin and growth targets, and build an inclusive, high-performance culture that develops future leaders 

Your Impact

Set Category Vision & Strategy

  • Define long-range product roadmaps, franchise strategies, and innovation platforms for Train Apparel & Footwear (men’s + women’s).
  • Measured by: Category revenue growth, market share gains, and franchise adoption rates.

 

Lead the Product Engine

  • Own the product creation process from concept to consumer, including athlete testing, prototype validation, performance durability, and GTM alignment.
  • Measured by: On-time seasonal deliverables, sell-through targets, and accelerated speed-to-market.

 

Deliver Commercial Success

  • Drive margin optimization, SKU productivity, and lifecycle planning while creating globally scalable but regionally relevant assortments.
  • Measured by: Margin achievement, SKU efficiency metrics, and balanced seasonal line architecture.

 

Champion UA Women’s Point of View

  • Serve as a cross-category influencer, aligning Women’s product strategy and elevating the Women’s athlete across all divisions.
  • Measured by: Alignment of Women’s POV across categories, increased share of voice in brand storytelling, and marketplace impact.

 

Shape Market & Brand Impact

  • Stay externally oriented through competitor and trend analysis, athlete engagement, and consumer immersion. Ensure insights directly influence roadmaps, brand storytelling, and franchise strategies.
  • Measured by: External market positioning, resonance of product-led campaigns, and competitive differentiation.

 

Brand & Storytelling Integration

  • Ensure that product drives brand narrative from concept through campaign, embedding athlete and consumer insights into briefs, line architecture, GTM planning, and launch execution. Partner with Marketing so that key products and franchises become the anchors of brand storytelling.
  • Measured by: % of campaigns built around hero products, earned media value tied to product-led stories, and resonance of seeded products with athletes and target consumers.

 

Drive Enterprise & Financial Outcomes

  • Partner across Merchandising, Design, Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Regions to deliver aligned seasonal line plans and GTM strategies.
  • Measured by: Profitability, ROI on innovation, SKU productivity, and global-to-local alignment.

 

Future-Proof the Organization

  • Build long-term capability by embedding sustainability (circular design, responsible sourcing, environmental impact reduction) and advancing digital integration (3D prototyping, predictive analytics, digital line planning). Lead with a people-first culture focused on succession planning, engagement, and diversity.
  • Measured by: Organizational health, talent pipeline strength, engagement scores, and adoption of future-facing tools and workflows.


Inspire & Develop Talent

  • Build, mentor, and stretch a diverse, high-performing team; lead cultural transformation and succession planning across the product org.
  • Measured by: Improved engagement scores, retention of top talent, growth in diversity pipeline, and clear succession plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • 15+ years of product leadership experience in apparel/footwear, including performance categories.
  • 10+ years of senior management experience, leading teams of managers and senior leaders.
  • Proven global franchise and platform building experience.
  • Expertise balancing innovation with commercial success.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of materials science, prototype validation, and performance testing.
  • Experience influencing across a matrixed, global organization.
  • P&L ownership and budget management experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (~15-20%).
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a proven track record of developing diverse, high-performing teams.
  • Experience leading organizational change and transformation. 

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD (HQ) office.
  • Work Schedule: Beginning September 8, 2025, the in-office requirement will increase to 4 days per week. 
  • Travel: Domestically ~15-20%

Relocation

  • Relocation may be provided up to a specified amount

Base Compensation

 

  • $225,242.56 - $309,708.50

    Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
