Purpose of Role
The Sourcing Rookie role is designed to provide foundational support to the apparel sourcing operations team within the LATAM region. In this position, you will gain hands-on experience in the apparel supply chain and learn key processes in sourcing, planning, and production. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Quality, Materials, and Logistics to help drive strategy and operational excellence.
In this role you will...
- Provide support to the sourcing team, including Production and Planning, by managing data and generating reports using UA systems and standard business tools such as Excel, Power Point and Word.
- Support vendor communication and seasonal milestone tracking
- Communication across internal teams by monitoring milestone progress, data submission and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maintain alignment with sourcing strategies by support keeping calendars updated, support lead times optimization, ensuring information accuracy
- Gain exposure to the product creation process from concept to production
- This role offers practical exposure to the sourcing workflow and an opportunity to contribute to the successful execution of regional strategies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, an inquisitive mindset, and a proactive approach to learning the core principles that drive UA’s sourcing operations.
Your Impact
- Develop a solid understanding of sourcing fundamentals for UA’s Regional and Global supply chain.
- Learn and assist in preparing weekly WIP reports and GS files as part of vendors capacity overview and level-loading.
- Support timelines and deliverables for seasonal launches and SMS (Salesman Samples).
- Manage invoice uploads for both new and existing offices through Ariba.
- Provide timely and in-depth weekly performance reports, monthly management reports and other reporting deliverables using UA systems and tools.
- Support the Director and team in creating presentations (PPT) for internal and external use.
- Learn and develop skills to manage resourcing templates and follow-up processes.
- Participate in additional activities related to Rookie professional development.

Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Panama City office.
- Return To Work Designation: 4 days a week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.
