Purpose of Role
The LATAM Assistant Merchandiser / Merch Ops supports the team with delivery of the regional merchandising strategies across multiple gender/consumer categories within the business. The Assistant Merchant / Merch Ops supports with the creation and execution of the line plan to meet consumer and channel needs. This role is a part of a Merchandising team that possesses deep awareness and intuition of the consumer, regional, channel and uses this knowledge to develop long-term product strategies to manage seasonal product line architecture and in season adjustment / action to deliver the channel goals (business and brand).
Your Impact
· Provide data entry support with updating style-color direction every season.
· Operate and maintain Merchandising systems (Trasix, Floorset Doc, weekly communication, Weekly Staff meeting etc.) for the business.
· Support LATAM Merchandising team with the development of channel line plans to Win the consumer and regional requirements, ensuring alignment with financial targets and regional growth prospects.
· Analyze, validate and input slot/style information in channel line plan tools.
· Support weekly selling and business recapping across factory house merchandising team
· Support Merchandising team with content creation for key Go-to-Market gates.
· Support post-mortem analyses to track business performance and compare with market shifts and evaluate performance across various metrics, enabling agile responses to business trends.
· Provide support to the Merchandising team with day-to-day tasks and special projects as needed.
· Represent and join LATAM weekly meetings with other functions to filter and act where needed to address and solve problems
· Partner with the distributors to guarantee they have all information needed to drive go to market and in season process
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree with typically 2 years of related experience or Masters degree without experience or typically 6 years of relevant experience without degree.
· Previous experience in Merchandising or Product Management, paired with a passion for identifying trends and better understanding the consumer. DTC experience preferred.
· Ability to translate regional insights and market information into actionable and informed recommendations.
· Strong analytical skills and financial acumen; demonstrated by the ability to analyze and make recommendations that are consistent with the brand.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to indirectly influence a variety of job functions without having full ownership.
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Mexico office.
- Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 3 days in-office per week through September 5, 2025. Beginning September 8, 2025, the in-office requirement will increase to 4 days per week.
