Purpose of Role
Reporting to the General Manager LATAM, the primary responsibilities of the DTC Director are to lead the Retail & Ecommerce organization in Mexico and drive the operations of UA retail & online stores. The mission is to further enhance our athlete in-store experience through leadership and direction to all of the stores to maximize revenues and meet future growth plans. Consistent implementation of strategic initiatives and achievement of goals and objectives as defined by the five core accountabilities of Revenue Generation, Establishing the Stores Selling & Service Culture, Operational Excellence, Visual Merchandising and Building a great team.
Your Impact
• DTC P&L ownership
• DTC yearly sales target.
• Integration of LatAm strategy with overall Americas strategy in partnership with Americas DTC leaders.
• Retail expansion (3YP roll out plan) of both Brand Houses and Factory Houses.
• Retail ops excellence with clear establishment of KPIs – Target setting and tracking.
• Responsible for leading a team of Visual Merchandising, Store Operations, Store product allocation, EC Customer Service, EC Catalog & Content as well as Customer conversion.
• Ecommerce lead to hyper-accelerate growth in this channel.
• Operational metrics (business KPIs).
• Performance in the other key priorities (Sales, Service, Teammate metrics)
• Ownership of Omni channel initiatives (Endless Aisle, Ecom Exchanges, etc.)
• Integration with key stakeholders.
• Act as the liaison between the subject matter teams (AP, HR, and Allocation) and front line execution effectiveness.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 12 years relevant experience
• Experience in apparel and/or footwear industry highly preferred.
• Proven leadership through talent development and business results.
• Strong personnel management and retail operations knowledge, including inventory control, loss prevention, retail systems, merchandising, customer service and store budget preparation. Proven experience in delivering results; strong 'retail math' knowledge and business acumen; thorough knowledge of retail KPIs (ADT, AUR, UPT, etc.), store P&L, schedule management, etc.
• Strong Ecommerce knowledge, including understanding of UX, SEO & SEM strategies to drive traffic and conversion to an online store.
• Advanced computer skills - Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Access); knowledge of Retail POS systems, scheduling systems, etc. required.
• Constant use of office equipment and mobile office devices (laptops, BB/PDA, etc.)
• The successful candidate must be a dynamic leader, strategic thinker, and highly motivated. He or she must have a strong ability to communicate and build effective cross-functional relationships.
• Strong knowledge of local marketplace relative to shopping malls, high-traffic locations, commercial streets and zones, etc.
• Ability to lead & influence cross-functional partners through strong and proven relationships
• Ability to successfully lead a cross-functional pod
• Ability to communicate product strategies verbally and in writing
• Ability to coach & inspire their direct and extended Merchandising teammates
• Consummate collaborator, effective communicator, consensus-builder and influencer
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Mexico City office.
- Return to Work Designation: 3 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.
- Travel: Significant Travel required: ~50% of time
