Purpose of Role

The Senior Manager, Visual Merchandising – LATAM is a strategic and collaborative visual leader, who puts the athlete retail experience at the heart of all decision making. The Sr. Visual Manager leads a team of visual merchandisers in the execution of brand and regional vision from concept to implementation. The Sr. VM Manager drives strategic offense starting with the end in mind to meet athlete and channel needs in alignment with financial goals and growth opportunities. The Sr. VM Manager works cross-functionally throughout UA to inspire a collaborative and supportive operating environment and be a consensus-builder who drives results. The Sr. VM Manager is detail oriented, with a keen eye for compelling visual displays that can blend art and science to deliver best-in-class authentic brand experience while maximizing productivity and business expansion.

 

Your Impact

· Partner with the TEAM (Manager and POD) to define the holistic 3/5yr LRP for all channels (Wholesale and DTC)

· Strategically position VM as a profit driving function; develop performance metrics and measurements for VM related initiatives and projects.

· Propose and deploy strategic initiatives to promote a “test & learn” culture that allows the team to respond, study and fail quickly.

· Partner with store planning to monitor and analyze the performance of VM initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Evaluate door performance as it relates to space planning, seeking opportunity to drive greater productivity and support fleet expansion goals.

· Be a visionary leader to the team, providing direction, guidance, and coaching to ensure consistent execution of all VM initiatives. Be a thoughtful leader and serve as a specialist around Visual Merchandising, utilizing consumer insights to action on.

· Build strong, effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including Merchandising, Planning, Allocation and Marketing teams to understand their goals and translate them into compelling VM concepts. Challenge business partners when appropriate to prevent re-work, redundancies, and inefficiency.

· Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies, guidelines, and principles that align with Under Armour’s brand identity, and business objectives. Drive for continual improvement and innovation during all milestones, proactively leading channel teams to meet new business objectives.

· Quarterback the GTM process driving strategy and development, partnering with key cross-functional partners to create plans that build authenticity & credibility in store, drive consumer engagement & achieve/exceed sales goals within the LATAM region.

· Champion operational excellence through the development and implementation of streamlined approaches to visual merchandising, ensuring internal practices are scalable and sustainable to allow the team to work efficiently and effectively.

· Work with cross-functional teams to remove obstacles; identify and escalate issues for timely resolution. Drive for change where opportunity exists with solution-forward approach.

· Create visually appealing and impactful retail environments through effective space planning, curated product presentation and styling.

· Counsel and support the team on the design, development, and execution of New Store Openings across both Brand House and Factory House channels as well as product launches and market relevant events.

· Guide and support the distributors to open new stores, but also maintain the high standard to provide best brand and shopping experience

· Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking innovative ways to enhance the VM experience to connect with our athletes.

· Establish and drive a culture of mentorship across the extended team.

· Manage the department budget and analyze investments to ensure positive ROI.

Additional Skills & Responsibilities:

· Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools for VM, such as Microsoft office applications, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD and 3D modeling Visual Software.

· Bachelor’s Degree with typically 10+ years of relevant visual merchandising experience in a fast-paced, consumer driven, product-oriented company

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Mexico office.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 3 days in-office per week through September 5, 2025. Beginning September 8, 2025, the in-office requirement will increase to 4 days per week.
