Purpose of Role
The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact between the brand and key retail partners. This role is responsible for developing and executing account strategies that drive sales, optimize assortments, and strengthen long-term relationships. By leveraging business insights, retail analytics, and cross-functional collaboration, the Account Manager ensures that both company and customer objectives are met—delivering results that support brand growth and retail success.
Your Impact
• Drive top- and bottom-line growth by leveraging retail math, data analytics, and consumer insights to inform strategic decisions and maximize account performance.
• Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders at the account level through proactive communication, business acumen, and consistent value delivery.
• Deliver accurate, insight-driven quarterly forecasts and performance recaps on time; identify risks and opportunities to support agile business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with account policies and processes, managing chargebacks, returns, and shipping logistics in partnership with customer operations and supply chain.
• Support retail execution by partnering with retail activation, visual merchandising, and marketing teams to drive conversion and brand storytelling at the point of sale.
• Work closely with internal partners (e.g., customer service, marketing, planning, finance) to ensure alignment on product flow, forecast accuracy, marketing support, and account needs.
• Build tailored go-to-market plans that align with brand objectives and account goals, including seasonal assortments, pricing, promotional planning, and sell-through tactics.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
• Extensive experience (min 5+ years) in sales management, preferably within the sports apparel or related industry.
• Proven track record of managing key accounts and driving sales growth, with vast focus on sales, margin, and inventory turn.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to leverage financial and retail data (e.g., margins, retail
math, forecasts) to drive decisions and influence outcomes.
• Confident, solutions-oriented communicator with strong negotiation skills and the ability to navigate complex conversations both internally and externally.
• Proven relationship-builder who fosters trust and collaboration through a deep understanding of business metrics and retail dynamics.
• Skilled in planning, time management, and problem-solving, able to anticipate challenges and offer proactive solutions.
• Effective presenter and communicator across all levels and formats, with the agility to adjust style
based on the audience.
• Solid understanding of retail sales practices and assortment planning, including sell-through, space
management, and inventory turn.
• Awareness of the competitive landscape and evolving retail environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Katy, TX office.
- Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 3 days in-office per week through September 5, 2025. Beginning September 8, 2025, the in-office requirement will increase to 4 days per week.

Base Compensation
$108,210.67 - $148,789.66 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
