Purpose of Role
The DTC Demand Planning Intern supports the Direct‑to‑Consumer demand planning function, partnering with planning and allocation teams to translate historical sales, inventory, and market demand data into actionable insights. This role contributes to improving forecast accuracy, inventory efficiency, and product availability across DTC channels while gaining hands‑on exposure to real‑world retail demand planning processes
Your Impact
- Analyze historical sales, inventory, and SKU‑level performance data to support demand forecasting and merchandising decisions
- Monitor sell‑through, weeks of supply, and inventory health to identify risks of stockouts or excess inventory
- Support in‑season demand review by tracking forecast vs actual performance and highlighting variances and trends
- Partner with allocation teams to support on‑time allocation and replenishment based on store and online demand signals
- Maintain planning tools, reports, and trackers to support data‑driven decision making across DTC channels
Your Exposure
- Hands‑on experience in DTC demand planning and inventory management
- Practical understanding of how sales forecasts are built, reviewed, and adjusted in a fast‑paced retail environment
- Experience analyzing large datasets to support assortment, allocation, and replenishment decisions
- Exposure to how planning decisions directly impact availability, sell‑through, and consumer experience
- Opportunity to work cross‑functionally with planning, allocation, merchandising, and regional teams
Qualifications
- Strong interest in Retail, Merchandising, Demand Planning, or Supply Chain Analytics
- Analytical mindset with interest in working with sales, demand, and inventory data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, formulas, basic data analysis)
- Comfortable working with numbers and able to translate data into insights
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn
- Team player with good communication skills and ability to work across functions
