Position Summary

We are searching for a Designer 1, Footwear Color to focus on and elevate Color Design. Working closely with Design leadership, he/she/they will provide support in building palettes, strategy, and color application across our Cleated Footwear categories: Football, Baseball, Soccer, Lacrosse and more. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative designer who is dialed into color, trends, sport culture and can support from concept through execution.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Color Design leadership and respective team members to help produce brand relevant color palettes and application that reflect Under Armour’s DNA.
  • Gather, prepare, and present conceptual ideas.
  • Demonstrate flexibility/adaptability, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Support color design application and reviews for multiple categories.
  • Provide product conceptualization and alternatives that meet the needs of the product as outlined by product merchandising and the product brief.
  • Ability to push the boundaries in Footwear color, think outside the box and bring unique ideas to life

  • Attention to detail and experience multitasking and working under tight deadlines.
  • Passion every day to design compelling and cutting-edge product.
  • Solid understanding of construction and materials; preferably well versed in manufacturing techniques.
  • Strong taste level when it comes to color theory, color application and trends.
  • Strong presentation skills and comfortable working with a group.
  • Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize tasks and to successfully meet multiple deadlines

Education And / Or Experience

  • BA, BFA or BS in Color, Apparel, Graphic or Industrial Design
  • 2-5+ years of experience preferred
  • Advanced user of Adobe Creative Suite

Location: Baltimore Headquarters - hybrid 2x per week
