Purpose of Role
The Sr. professional Sports Marketing UK-London, is responsible for managing the day-to-day relationships with the company’s athletes, influencers and grassroot programs within the UK. This role will oversee the product seeding process and will be the direct point of contact with athletes, influencers and their representatives to coordinate seamlessly the execution of our Brand and Marketing initiatives to drive sponsorship ROI. Key responsibilities will include: partnership day-to-day management, product seeding and forecasting, cross-functional collaboration to support partnership activation - budget management – locally monitor trends of the sport and culture landscape. The candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to think creatively and resourcefully.
Your Impact
- Manages the day-to-day relationship of assigned sports marketing assets: including athletes and influencers on-boarding, best in class product servicing, calendar management, performance reporting, athlete and influencer requests. Manages external communication with assigned assets and partner agencies.
- Maximize Brand and product visibility on and off the field: you will execute the product seeding plan according to category direction. Forecast athlete product needs and manage seeding budget.
- Support athlete and influencer GTM integration: on point to communicate athlete/influencer activation requests, coordinate athlete/influencer briefing, support Brand content approval process, you will manage athlete and influencer logistics related to production hours and appearances. And support the execution of the Brand social media plan.
- Portfolio budget management: You will manage contractual obligation and payments of assigned sports marketing assets (athletes, influencers, grassroots), support portfolio financial forecasts (bonus, escalators, reductions), manage portfolio product servicing budget and manage portfolio T&E budget.
- Culturally connected, you will report new trends and influence the Brand next move: you will be the eyes and the ears of the Brand on the ground, very well connected with our target audience, our athletes and our influencers with a deep understanding of the London culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with typically 3 years of relevant experience and proven track record in brand and sports marketing experience within Europe across sports and/or lifestyle brand(s). Experience in working with athletes and athlete’s partners & agencies is a must.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of grassroots and the professional sports landscape. Preferable experience working in football.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills to achieve successful partnerships & collaboration with athletes and partners.
- Proven experience working well with others to maintain and build cross-functional (internal and external) relationships including agency partners, internal clients.
- Strong project management skills and proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
