Purpose of Role
The Creative & Design Talent Sourcer will be an integral partner in building best-in-class design and product talent initiatives across the brand. In close partnership with the Talent Acquisition Leads, HR Business Partners, Recruiters, and senior business leaders, this role will proactively identify, engage, and pipeline top-tier creative talent for niche, high-impact roles across Apparel Design, Footwear Design, Product Design, and related creative disciplines. This role will also support creative roles within our broader Marketing organization.
This is a highly strategic sourcing role, focused not only on active requisitions but also on long-term workforce planning, executive-level sourcing, and proactive talent mapping for critical and future-facing capabilities. The Sourcer will bring deep market knowledge of the apparel and footwear design landscape, leveraging industry relationships, competitive intelligence, and data-driven insights to influence hiring strategies and build diverse, high-quality pipelines for both open and anticipated roles.
Your Impact
- Utilize proactive, creative, and cost-effective sourcing strategies to attract and engage a diverse pool of creative and product talent, including Apparel Design, Footwear Design, Product Design, Color & Materials, Innovation, and related disciplines. This includes leveraging online recruiting tools, social media, professional networks, ATS, industry events, design communities, meet-ups, university partnerships, and teammate referrals.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on the creative and product talent market, maintaining a strong understanding of competitor landscapes, emerging talent, and evolving skill sets within apparel and footwear design.
- Continuously identify and cultivate new candidate pools, channels, and sourcing resources, while maximizing existing tools, to proactively surface passive design talent, build awareness of opportunities, and engage them with targeted outreach.
- Build and maintain proactive pipelines for both current and future hiring needs, including recurring, hard-to-fill, and executive-level design and product roles. This includes long-term relationship management with passive candidates.
- Partner closely with Recruiters, Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, and senior leaders to intake role requirements, advise on talent availability, and develop targeted sourcing and engagement strategies aligned to business priorities.
- Play a critical role in strategic talent mapping and workforce planning initiatives, identifying talent gaps and future capabilities needed to support the brand’s creative and product roadmap.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate interviews to assess technical skills, creative capability, cultural alignment, and potential fit for current or future opportunities.
- Engage with external prospective candidates to share detailed information regarding role scope, team structure, career paths, benefits, and compensation, delivering a compelling and authentic candidate experience.
- Leverage data, analytics, and market insights to inform sourcing strategies, track pipeline health, and ensure candidate slates reflect diverse representation.
- Lead quarterly training sessions and/or deliver reporting to the broader TA team on sourcing strategies, capability development, market and industry trends, and emerging best practices to continuously elevate team expertise and effectiveness.
- Identify process improvement opportunities across the sourcing lifecycle and develop scalable tools, resources, and best practices that enhance sourcer efficiency, recruiter and hiring manager partnership, and overall candidate experience.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on sourcing effectiveness, pipeline strength, and market trends to Talent Acquisition leadership, HR Business Partners, and Hiring Managers.
- Represent the brand externally through industry organizations, design networks, and events, building long-term relationships that strengthen the employer brand within the creative and product community.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in Recruiting or Sourcing, with a strong emphasis on creative, product, apparel design, or footwear design talent (agency or in-house).
- Experience sourcing for senior-level and executive creative roles strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and executives.
- Strong understanding of apparel and footwear design functions, portfolios, and creative hiring processes.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex pipelines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly proactive, data-driven, and strategic mindset with a passion for building diverse and inclusive teams.

Base Compensation
$79,932.00-$99,915.00 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
