Purpose of Role
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Designer 1 – Print + Pattern to join our Product Creative team. The ideal teammate will have a deep understanding of fashion trends, textiles, and the sportswear market, with a passion for creating innovative and performance-driven designs. You will be responsible for developing original prints and patterns for multiple categories and genders that align with our brand vision while pushing the boundaries of design innovation.
Your Impact
• Create all over prints + patterns for multiple UA categories. This includes yarn dyes, jacquards, sublimation, digital printing, etc.
• Work collaboratively with Product Creative leadership and cross functional team members.
• Interact cross functionally with PLM’s, Sourcing, Developers, Graphic team, Print team, trim team, and Materials on seasonal line development, including Fit Sessions.
• Manage merchandising pages and own color management of the line.
• Ensure processes are up-to-date and being held to UA standards.
• Build presentation files
• Gather, prepare, and present conceptual ideas.
• Demonstrate flexibility/adaptability, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Prepare detailed repeat patterns, colorways, and technical specifications for production.
• Be dialed into textile, graphic and apparel trends, art, and sport culture.
Qualifications

· Passion every day to design compelling and cutting-edge product.
· Ability to understand construction and materials; preferably versed in manufacturing techniques.
· Ability to express concepts and ideas through sketching.
· Bachelor’s degree with typically 2 years of related experience or Master’s degree without experience or typically 6 years of relevant experience without degree.
· Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
· Solid understanding of garment construction and textiles, including price points and merchandising needs.
· Presentation skills and comfortable working with a group.
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.
- This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Base Compensation
$59,523.63-$74,404.54 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
