Purpose of Role
The Professional, Global Merchandise Planner – Accessories is responsible to manage and forecast financial targets across global markets, driving alignment with Under Armour’s financial goals, market demands, and product creation. The Accessories role includes Bags, Headwear, Gloves, Socks and Other miscellaneous accessories. This role aims to optimize profitability sustainably for Accessories across diverse geographic regions through the analysis of sales trends, product, marketing and regional strategies, in partnership with product/merchant teams.
Your Impact
• Develop and implement financial plans for assigned categories and regions. Align plans with global targets, regional consumer trends, and macroeconomic factors.
• Collaborate with global product, regional planning counterparts, and other departments such as marketing, and finance—to ensure financial plans are aligned and support overall business objectives.
• Work in partnership with Global Product to provide financial and analytical input into slot line architecture planning, product creation/design, and assortment optimization.
• Analyze complex historical trends and data to optimize future forecasts and inform strategies and action plans. Understand and articulate the health of the business back to the team, communicating identifying risks and opportunities.
• Support marketplace product transition planning, building product ladders, and providing recommendations to channel and supply teams.
• Work closely with Regional Merchandising to provide financial input into assortment development.
• Track and monitor financial performance against targets. Identify trends and variances, providing recommendations for adjustments to improve outcomes.
• Use AI-enabled analytics tools to assist in deriving insights into top-down financial planning.
• Help manage and synchronize financial planning with demand and inventory across various channels, ensuring alignment with sales performance.
• Collaborate with Regional Channel Planning to ensure the reconciliation of top-down and bottom-up financial plans.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in channel planning, marketing, or a related role.
• Experience in the apparel or footwear industry is preferred.
• Knowledgeable of merchandise financial planning, with exposure to scenario planning and long-range forecasting using financial plans & historical data.
• Knowledgeable of fundamental financial concepts, such as revenue, costs, and profit margins, as well as how they relate to planning processes.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate key data findings to non-technical teams, with guidance, ensuring alignment with broader business goals
• Proficient with data analysis and basic proficiency in tools for reporting and insights.
• Develop skills in identifying problems and working with predictive analytics tools to support basic refinement of recommendations.
• Some experience with planning tools such as Blue Yonder or similar
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work within a team and support planning initiatives.
• Ability to interpret data and assist in shaping business narratives, providing support for decision-making processes by contributing data-driven insights.
Workplace Location
• Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance of the Baltimore, MD corporate office.
• Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week

Base Compensation
$62,290.12 - $85,648.93 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
