Purpose of Role
The Sr. Director, Operations, Engineering, and Strategic Projects will oversee the operations and infrastructure of our Distribution Network across the US, including managing third-party logistics (3PLs) in Canada and Mexico. This role will be pivotal in the development and implementation of a large-scale transformation within our Americas network, as well as future modernization within the existing facilities. It will ensure a seamless integration and optimization of the distribution network to drive efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Your Impact
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Leadership & Strategy:
o Develop and implement strategic plans for the Americas distribution network to support business objectives, leverage scale across operations and enhanced capabilities
o Lead cross-functional teams to achieve strategic, operational excellence and drive continuous improvement.
o Integrate Network Design insights into overall transformation strategy, ensuring alignment with global logistics goals, and scalability across regions.
o Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, leveraging critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
o Oversee the Digital Twin Modeling and optimization of the DH network, ensuring efficient network, space utilization, route optimization and operational excellence.
o Partner cross functionally to enable best in class system integration and designcapabilities.
Production Control:
o Lead the Production Control team, responsible for production planning and scheduling to ensure channel level service requirements while delivering on cost, productivity and labor targets.
o Monitor and analyze production metrics to name areas for improvement.
o Create enhanced reporting and visibility tools to ensure network optimization and execution.
Engineering:
o Lead the engineering team responsible for managing engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget inclusive of network modernization, expansion and optimization.
o Partner with the Distribution operation teams to identify improvement projects, optimize labor management (LM tools) and drive productivity improvements.
o Lead Logistics capex and productivity projects across Americas network
o Work with the business to design future processes and use enhanced automation/robotics to create capabilities and competitive advantage.
o Collaborate with integrators and manufacturers on automated solutions from concept to stabilization.
Project Management (PMO):
o Lead the PM team and/or augmented resourcing to ensure successful execution of strategic projects across the distribution network.
o Implement PMO best practices and project management methodologies to ensuresuccessf ul project delivery, including cost, scope and time management.
o Monitor project progress, including time, budget, scope, and quality, and provideregular sta tus updates to senior management.
o Proactively identify risks and opportunities across workstreams and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project objectives are met.
Maintenance:
o Lead team responsible for effectively troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, adjusting, replacing, and installing mechanical, electronic and electrical systems and components for all equipment in a high volume, continuous-run distribution environment.
o Implement preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
o Key engagement in modernization of future US network as well as any future expansion.
Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Management
o Oversee 3PL operations in Canada and Mexico, ensuring alignment with company standards, business needs and strategic objectives.
o Understand business strategies and growth projections to ensure future network capabilities and enhancements are achieved.
o Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with 3PL providers.
This role reports to the VP of Supply Chain for the Americas.
Qualifications
• MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering field, with at least 10 years of related experience in a Distribution environment; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience in the apparel and/or footwear industries strongly preferred.
• Direct experience into any of the fields within this position for apparel/footwear Distribution Center
• A proven track record of building strong teams with great results to include attracting great talent and building and maintaining strong relationships across the enterprise.
• A sincere and contagious passion to take the brand to new levels and drive the future of UA Distribution.
• Smart, creative, and driven. Not afraid to lead others past their comfort zone(s). Creates a sense of urgency and brings tasks to completion.
Leadership & Communication:
o Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Technical Expertise:
o In-depth knowledge of production control, engineering, PMO, and maintenance best practices.
o Strong analytical and technical proficiency to identify and implement sustainable, data driven solutions.
Proficiency in ERP, WES, WMS, WCS systems. Experience with SAP, DIQ and Manhattan are preferred.
Project Management:
o Proven experience in managing large-scale projects and leading PMO functions.
o Highly effective communicator with expertise in building consensus across business partners and influencing successful outcomes
o Strong organizational and time management skills.
Analytical & Problem-Solving:
o Ability to analyze complex data and metrics to drive decision-making.
o Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
Adaptability & Innovation:
o Ability to adapt to changing business needs and drive innovative solutions.
o Experience in managing 3PL operations and cross-border logistics is a plus.
Highly skilled with database/spreadsheet programs, and specifically MS Office programs (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Experience with MRP software package is required. (WMI, SAP, FMS). Knowledge of WMS & data visualization systems (WM, BI, Tableau, etc.)
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore Distribution center (ODH).
- Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.
- Travel: 10% to 15%

Base Compensation
$190,000.00-$245,000.00 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
