Purpose of Role

Under Armour EMEA is looking for a Visual Merchandising Senior Professional to be an active member of the EMEA Visual Merchandising team.

 

Main Role is to create the consumer journey and visual identity within managed spaces by maximizing sales and the overall brand consistency.

 

As part of the local team, this person will be integral part of the Go to Market process, from sell-in to retail theatre. Helping accounts to grow their business within managed spaces. Work with third party VM agency to deliver consistency across the market.

 

The Visual Merchandising Sr Professional will report into the Visual Merchandising Manager and will be based in Spain / France.
 

Your Impact

The Visual Merchandising Sr Professional will be responsible for rolling out the EMEA visual merchandising strategy in Spain – Portugal and France. The role will focus on supporting the Accounts partners with VM direction, spaces set up, seasonal floor sets, staff trainings, guidelines designed to support the market’s needs.
You are the face of the company, an expert in your market, where you translate the global/European vision keeping in mind local requirements and business needs. In order to achieve this, you work closely with all the EMEA functions such as: Merchandising, DTC, Sales, Operations Store Design and Development and Retail Marketing.
You manage a 3rd party VM support team. You train and guide them. You review the quality of execution as well as the space KPI’s.


Main Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Liaise with EMEA office to roll-out the global visual merchandising strategy and brand standards
  • Build strong relationship with local functions, be the voice of VM at the discussion table.
  • Coordinate and train 3rd party VM, provide regular feedback on VM standards through picture reports and identify opportunities for further training.
  • Lead VM space opening by creating VM plans of action. Coordinate with Merchandising, Sales, Retail Marketing and account
  • Deliver guidelines for showroom set-ups.
  • Conduct administrative tasks such as raising Purchase Orders, reports, KPI analysis, cross functional and account communication.

Qualifications

  • A completed degree level or equivalent in design or marketing or fashion.
  • Approx. of 4 to 6 years of field experience in Visual Merchandising role in a Premium Brand.
  • Microsoft office, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign basic are appreciated.
  • Flexibility to travel 30% within the country and Amsterdam based head office.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable across cultures and within the corporate matrix.
  • Understanding of KPI’s and sales numbers.
  • Can read store floor-plans and light plans.
  • Self-starter, proactive and forward thinking.
  • Analytical and critical thinking, problem solving, think out of the box.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and multi-task. Capable of delivering on deadlines.
  • Fluent in English, French and Spanish (written & spoken)
  • Have a passion for the world of sport and culture.
