Purpose of Role
The Associate of Planning Team will be responsible for playing a role in the pre-season financial and inventory planning process as well as in-season sell through analysis in a specific product category for our UA Korea channel and can make an instant impact to the business. This individual will work in partnership with our Commercial teams as well as our Merchandising and Supply Chain teams amongst others here at UA to drive and deliver results.
Your Impact
- Support team to develop preseason buy forecast, margin and inventory turn plans that support Under Armour major growth strategies at the division, department and key item level
- Execute weekly channel demand forecast at style-color level both for pre-season and in-season, corresponding to merchandising financial plan.
- Analyze business performance during weekly/monthly/ seasonal sales
- Participate in analyzing historical data and current trends while identifying risks and opportunities
- Run what/if scenarios to support decision-making and provide insights on potential channel performance outcomes.
- Align with Commercial teams on recommend promotional strategies, partner with Merchandising team for pricing strategies
- Assist in determining size eligibility, conducting floorset planning, and managing allocations/replenishment to optimize channel performance.
- Drive successful outcomes and alignment by collaborating with peers in the achievement of team goals
- Support ad hoc projects and other business needs as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
- Ability to interpret data and assist, with guidance, in shaping business narratives (story telling), providing support for decision-making processes by contributing data-driven insights.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate key data findings to non-technical teams, with guidance, ensuring alignment with broader business goals
- Familiarity with financial concepts, such as revenue, costs, and profit margins, as well as how they relate to planning processes to drive decision making.
- Has experience with data analysis & visualization tools for reporting and insights, preferred with Blue Yonder’s Planning module or similar planning tools.
- Communication skills in both English and Korean
- Bachelor's degree (Relevant major preferred)
- Relevant experience in sports, fashion, or retail industry is preferred but not required.
