Purpose of Role

The Sr. Accounting Manager will play a key role in overseeing the company's financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. As the Sr accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of accounting professionals and collaborate closely with other departments to support the overall business objectives.

  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
  • Monitor, analyze and produce financial reports / statements, and forecasts to provide insights and support strategic decision-making (if any)
  • Reconcile all balance sheet and income statement accounts on monthly basis. Ensure all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality work.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure on time payment to all our suppliers, ensure on time collection of receivables from our customers. Responsible of monthly cash flow & closing reporting package required by region.
  • Strong drive of finance transformation project as local initiatives as well as regional/global initiatives  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and executive management, to provide financial / Accounting data and analysis to ensure goal achievement & compliance. Support regional FP&A by providing relevant & timely information.
  • Liaising with external auditors and tax agents on relevant audit and taxation compliance to ensure overall coordination of all financial accounting activities through annual report
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and best practices and ensure the company's accounting practices align with industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance. MBA or CPA has an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Financial Management, Accounting Experience with Managerial capacity, preferably in the retail or consumer products industry
  • Finance transformation project experience has an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP standards and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and tools, such as ERP systems and data analysis software.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to work across cultures and seniority levels.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal, and prior experience in an MNC environment 

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our seoul office.
  • Return to Work Designation: 4 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.

Base Compensation

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
