Purpose of Role
This individual will support the development and execution of merchandising strategies across DTC and Wholesale channels, driving assortment optimization, product segmentation, pricing recommendations, and seasonal Go-To-Market execution for the Korea market. The role is responsible for ensuring compelling seasonal assortment that balance global product direction with local market needs while partnering closely with APAC Merchandising teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business objectives.
Your Impact
- Drive seasonal assortment planning and category merchandising strategies across DTC and Wholesale channels, ensuring alignment with consumer demand, business objectives, and marketplace opportunities.
- Lead product segmentation and channel differentiation strategies to minimize cannibalization and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Analyze sales performance, inventory productivity, consumer insights, and marketplace trends to identify business opportunities, assortment gaps, and pricing recommendations.
- Partner with Planning team to support demand forecasting, inventory management, and seasonal business reviews.
- Influence APAC and Global Merchandising team by providing Korea market insights, consumer feedback, product performance analysis, and future business opportunities.
- Support seasonal Go-To-Market planning and milestone execution across key cross-functional partners.
- Prepare and deliver product presentations during pre-line reviews, and sales meetings for Franchise, DTC, and Wholesale partners.
- Build strong relationships with APAC/Global Merchants and key cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on seasonal strategies and business priorities.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of merchandising principles, assortment planning, product lifecycle management, and Go-To-Market processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data and consumer insights into actionable merchandising recommendations.
- Strong understanding of consumer, sportswear, and fashion trends.
- Demonstrated ability to influence regional or global stakeholders through data-driven recommendations and strong business rationale.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance consumer needs and commercial objectives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with managing multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 7-10 years of merchandising experience within a sportswear, footwear, apparel, or fashion retail company.
- Experience in sportswear or footwear merchandising is highly preferred.
- Experience in Assortment planning, seasonal line planning, pricing, and Go-To-Market execution.
- Experience working with regional or global stakeholders is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Korean and English.
