Purpose of Role

The Manager, Merchandising manages the organisation's merchandising strategies and plans for the category in charge for South APAC footwear and accessories. He/she is also responsible for leading category management and product assortments. In this role, he/she also supports product pricing and go in margins for the company in South APAC.

Your Impact

Strategy
•    Develop the assortment strategy, product selection and category plans to drive trends in market to generate sales and category demands.
•    Develop channel allocations across retail, franchise, wholesale & e commerce and establish overall product category mix, margin and pricing strategies.

Driving Revenue
•    Prepare sales forecasts, and monthly margin and sell through analysis by category and determining OTB Budget
•    Manage the product lifecycle across channels in coordination with the Retail and Wholesale Directors
•    Conduct detailed sales, sell through, inventory and margin analysis to drive merchandising plans and boost sales.
•    Prepare promotion strategy and promotion calendar with close partnership with Retail, Marketing and Wholesale teams.

Cross Functional Collaboration & Team Management
•    Work with a keen attention to detail to effectively update and communicate project plans and critical project tasks with appropriate internal and external stakeholders, up to and including the executive level. 
•    Specifically, this role needs to work closely with marketing, wholesale and retail departments to launch seasonal trade shows with wholesale accounts and franchise partners.

Commercial Insights and Market Trends
•    Provide half yearly price benchmark analysis across the sports industry to share about commercial
insights and upcoming trends.
Data Management
•    Maintain and ensure data accuracy of product-related master data for range collection in order to ensure data integrity.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in business administration, merchandising or related field. 
•    Minimum 6 years of merchandising experience
•    Focus on financial success with ability to formulate strategies based on market needs and the Company goals.
•    Logically thinking, good at analytics and proficient with Excel required
•    Demonstrated understanding of budgetary & financial concepts
•    Excellent communication and negotiation skills
•    Meticulous, with the ability to multi-task when required.
•    Strong understanding of brand and product
•    Demonstrate delivery of sales targets, budget development and tracking, and demand forecasting. Persistence and resilience in the pursuit of objectives, willing to take new challenges and resolve issues. 
•    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong and sustainable working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
•    May require to travel for work.
