Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Merchandising will be responsible for driving the development and activation of the Product Merchandising Plan that will deliver growth targets identified across categories in Southeast Asia. In this role, he/she will be the main contact person for Range Assortment Planning and Management across all channel distribution. A key part of the role is to liaise closely with Sales to define suitable product ranges for wholesale accounts, with Marketing on campaigns and activations to support range roll-out, with Retail for range performance, promotions rollout and market trend/data updates, and with Planning for timely product roll-out support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage & set the Range Category / End Uses selection that is aligned with market trends across various SAPAC markets
  • Achieve financial targets for responsible Range Categories / End Uses (Net Sales & Margin) through close partnership with internal departments and APAC counterparts
  • Responsible for forecasting, price setting by country, launch month dictation, OTB management of responsible Range Categories / End Uses and shipping information (ensure we can launch on time)
  • Analyze market data, competition (products, prices) and trends for the further development of the brand across the markets and distribution points
  • Identify and present potential products for the global development (gaps and opportunities)
  • Analyze Range Performance & sell-through tracking on a weekly/monthly/seasonal level and align strategies with Retail, E-commerce and Marketing departments
  • Monitor the pricing and distribution Omni Channel strategy for harmonization of different sales channels

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and handle competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and negotiation skills to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (OTB, Margin, Inventory calculations) within different business models (DTC, Wholesale, Franchise, Distributors)
  • Strong knowledge of applicable categories and advanced MS Excel skill
  • Make data-driven decision-making and quantitative analytical skills
  • Strong Commercial background (Driving sales and margin with commercial teams)
  • A sincere and contagious passion for building Under Armour
  • Resourceful, creative, compelling, driven. Not afraid to lead others past their comfort zone.  Creates a sense of urgency.

Education And / Or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred
  • 6 or more years of wholesale, inventory management or merchandising-related experience
