Purpose of Role

As a Distribution House (DH) Industrial Engineer, you will oversee the building’s Labor Management program to drive efficiency in day-to-day processing. You will be responsible for evaluating and maintaining various engineered labor standards, configuring the Labor Management System (LMS) with the appropriate results, and partnering with Operations, IT and HR to promote a successful performance-based Employee Incentive program. Additionally, you will be expected to collaborate cross-functionally to explore and implement continuous improvement projects across a range of departments to enhance productivity, cost, and safety through means consistent with Under Armour’s Core Competencies.

Your Impact

• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and reports any unsafe working conditions or equipment. 
• Works with Sr. Manager of Industrial Engineer to design and maintain Engineered Labor Standards for Manhattan Associates’ Labor Management System 
• Responsible for maintaining an XYZ mapping, vehicle timing, updating Preferred Work Methods (PWM’s), revising ELS files and configuring any changes within the Labor Management System
• Partners with and trains Distribution Operations to drive a performance-based culture 
• Provide analytical support to the Distribution Operations and Strategic Operations team for effectively measuring Labor Management performance, 3YP & 5YP Capacity and CapEx planning 
• Serve as the main point of contact for incentive-based pay program utilizing LMS performance data 
• Works with DH Lean team to identify and implement continuous improvement projects across the DH 
• Partners with other Distribution IE’s to maintain Process Uniformity and Labor Management consistency across the distribution network, including: 
    • Preferred Work Methods 
    • Activity-Based Costing/CPU Modeling 
    • Labor Monitoring and Labor Planning 
    • Capacity Inputs/Modeling

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree (Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Degree)
  • 3-5 years of distribution experience preferred
  • Labor Management experience, preferably with Manhattan Associates’ Labor Management System
  • Analytical in nature – ability to compile, analyze and develop recommendations using data
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Oracle’s SQL Developer and/or Tableau
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management or Execution Systems (WMS, WES) is a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
  • Self-starter, strong willingness to learn with a desire for problem solving
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required
  • Ability to develop presentations for Sr. Managers, Directors and Sr. Directors
  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner and in short time frames
  • Excellent team player and great UA cultural fit

Base Compensation

 $107,083.00 - $147,239.40 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
