Purpose of Role
As a Distribution House Team Lead Mechanic, you will be responsible for leading the daily activities of the Mechanical Maintenance Department to ensure equipment reliability and longevity. This involves driving a safety culture and driving Under Armour’s Core Competencies.
Your Impact
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment and reports any unsafe working conditions or equipment.
- Provide assistance in leading and directing the maintenance mechanics
- Work with the Maintenance leadership to implement department strategy(s) and initiative in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensures the completion of the full life cycle of a work order including data entry, mechanical work parts, inventory tracking, coordination and communication with Distribution House Operations staff.
- Performing routine preventative and troubleshooting maintenance to conveyor systems and related material handling equipment
- Duties many include but are not limited to repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery requiring electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical and/or hydraulic attention.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
- Excellent proven safety record
- Ability to interpret schematics, mechanical blueprints, and PLC ladder logic
- Able to operate and trained on all aerial equipment, such as boom lift, scissor lift, and forklift.
- Computer Skills
- PC experience; MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Working knowledge of Maintenance Connection is a plus.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Knowledge of Warehouse Control Systems (WCS
- Other Skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; 6 months warehouse experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems; warehouse control systems, Excel, running reports, and interpreting and communicating data/metrics.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; ability to follow detailed instructions both written and verbally; ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures; ability to apply concepts of basic math. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- 5 years of industrial plant maintenance technician experience, comparable to level 1 or 2, preferred
Workplace Location
- Location: Must reside within commuting distance of the Sparrows Point, MD facility
- Schedule: Friday- Sunday, 6:00am- 6:30pm

Base Compensation
$31.70-$39.60
