Position Summary

Partner with teams across the organization to create and implement cost-effective strategies while maintaining service levels for each customer.

 

The Manager, Production control will support Under Armour's business driving operations excellence and business performance in the supply chain. This role must be able to communicate effectively with leadership, cross-functional partners, and be able to drive action within their own team and support departments where necessary. The individual will be responsible for guiding, developing, and growing the analytical skill set of the Production Control team.

 

This role has two major responsibilities-- in week management of workflow at the DH and long-term project completion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

May include, but are not be limited to, the following:

 

Daily

• Coordinate and plan labor/workflow through the facility while balancing service and cost • Utilize forecasts and departmental capacities to lead the DH leadership teams through each month's processing goals • Works to deliver against KPI’s and metrics • Provide leadership and guidance to wave planners & larger operations team to execute against the plan • Works with commercial team and operations to ensure completion of orders within customer expectations • Works with the operations leadership team to ensure they remain on schedule and that all orders are completed on time for shipping. • Provide guidance and leadership to alleviate bottlenecks and triage potential pitfalls

 

Long Term

• Analyze data to provide visibility and forecasting in the next 6-12 months of the business • Create and improve processes • Ownership of key network projects to advance the business • Collaboration with network production control teams & business groups to plan workflow, triage pitfalls, share best practices, etc • Development of wave planners as well as larger UA team • Understanding of the larger business and develop improved business acumen/understanding

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Wave planner(s)

Education And / Or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software (intermediate level) • Ability to work independently and pace against timelines/deliverables • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to learn quickly and break down complex problems into clear component parts • Ability to work independently and pace against timelines/deliverables • Understanding and experience of Warehouse Management Order processing systems preferred • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Ability to identify and resolve business problems within a team setting
