Position Summary

As a Distribution House Ops Support Trainer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training content to new operations teammates. Conducting Train-the-Trainer sessions and support training of temporary staff for all floor operations of the Omni Distribution House (DH). Creates and updates standard operating procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI). Assists in achieving goals of the DH and training function by partnering with leadership to identify and address continuous improvement through training opportunities. You will also be responsible for leading and supporting Talent Development site and network projects as assigned. The Distribution House Ops Support Trainers perform an array of functions that include demonstrating and supporting Under Armour’s Values and Core Competencies. Shift: Monday - Thursday 2:00pmpm – 12:30am 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

May include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Responsible for creating and conducting new hire training and coordinating re-training of incumbent teammates
  • Develop and update SOPs as required.  Train and audit teammates on new processes and system updates
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions to align department coaches and teammate buddies on proper training methods, tools, and resources
  • Work with DH departments to develop custom training and deployment of department-specific training
  • Participate and lead continuous improvement activities as required
  • Collaborates with cross-functional departments to support productivity goals when required
  • Facilitate Safety School, Learning Breaks, Tech Breaks and Team Lead leadership training sessions
  • Lead DH Network and HR training projects as assigned
  • Update Amour U and DH Network Training Scorecard
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment and reports any unsafe working conditions or equipment
  • May work in various departments as needed
  • Must possess good communication, organizational, time management, and training skills

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Must have worked in the DH for at least a year
  • Demonstrated skill to inspire and motivate others to perform well
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to handle multiple projects

Education And / Or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; six (6) months warehouse experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems; warehouse control systems, Excel, running reports and interpreting and communicating data/metrics
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment; ability to follow detailed instructions both written and verbally; ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures; ability to apply concepts of basic math
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Baltimore, MD
  • Work-Life Integration (WLI) Designation: Five (5) days a week in office
  • Shift: Monday - Thursday 2:00pmpm – 12:30am 
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Frequent or continuous standing, lifting, walking, and bending
    • Regularly handles objects, tools, and/or controls; reaches with arms; uses cutting device to open or break down cartons
    • May frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds overhead
    • Vision abilities depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • Work Environment:
    • The essential functions of the job are usually performed indoors and may rarely be performed outdoors, including during both hot and cold weather
    • Work performed will be near or involving moving mechanical equipment
    • Work may be performed at heights of up to 50 feet
    • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
