Position Summary

The Sr. Manager, Photo Studio - Operations leads Under Armour’s global Ecommerce Photography Studio; responsible for defining the strategy and building the operational guardrails to produce assets in support of global ecommerce revenue for both direct to consumer and wholesale business channels. This role will establish successful internal and external partnerships, define and execute short- and long-term strategies and manage all aspects of the budget.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Multi-Year Planning

  • Lead the long-term strategy for the photo studio that includes identifying potential suppliers, defining business requirements, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts and ultimately building the operational framework to produce assets in support of global ecommerce revenue.
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors at the highest level.
  • Establish new initiatives for content to improve conversion and drive traffic and revenue based on relevant consumer and market trend data.
  • Create project plans, guide and engage respective project teams throughout the project from kick off to implementation.
  • Manage and oversee all studio operating expenses and annual budget.
  • Collaborate with art directors, other peers (director of photography) and other functions (product line management) to identify and implement improvements to the image creation process.

  • Build strong working relationships with customers and teams in all regions of the world.
  • Provide direction and tools for in region photo execution.
  • Inform global leaders of key milestones, metrics and issues.
  • Develop a product content strategy that supports the short & long-term global marketing and merchandising initiatives.

  • Lead a team of UA employees and contract/freelance employees through vision and values.
  • Manage change across teammates by presenting the need for change in a positive way that encourages commitment and change.
  • Ensure strategies are in place to promote inclusion, enhance engagement and maximize business results.

Education And / Or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience: 10 years of Photo Studio experience
  • Experience managing a team of diverse skills and talent

Other Requirements

  • Location: This position is in Baltimore, MD
  • Return to Work Designation:  2 days in office
  • Travel: 5-10% of the year
  • Program Experience: Microsoft Suite
