The Strategic Account Manager will work within an integrated and dedicated strategic POD team that will manage the European Pure Player Business. Working with assigned strategic accounts to build an aligned brand strategy, maximize sales and profitability against defined targets and set objectives. To work within the best interest of our consumers, customers, team mates and the Under Amour brand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Deliver the agreed annual sales and profit for Under Armour, in line with the regional and global strategy.
  • Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year periods.
  • Ensure that the fully integrated go-to-market-process is understood and executed efficiently and innovatively across these accounts.
  • Own and drive seasonal touchpoints with accounts (such as Prelines, Sell-Ins, etc.), and ensure high level of account management.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by company management.
  • Coordinate and involve company teammates, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Be a team player establishing cross-functional partnership to establish clear differentiation strategies in product, communications and investments for consumers across the landscape of our biggest pure player partners.
  • Be a vital part of the digital team, working very closely with the eCommerce, Marketing and B2B teams in order to establish areas of leverage to drive best in class and efficiencies.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: include but are not limited to the following:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-4 years of relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Sporting Goods or Digital Retail industry experience preferred

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: include but are not limited to the following:

  • Demonstrated track record of account management in a commercial environment.
  • Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills with an analytical mind coupled with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations based on their analysis.
  • PowerPoint presentation skills and the ability to deliver strong presentations to groups (1:1 and groups)
  • Strong Interpersonal skills & demonstrable track record of good relationship building
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other areas of the business such as marketing, customer service & logistics.
  • Fluent in English

MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE: include but are not limited to the following:

  • Percentage sales and profit vs target set
  • Execution of the account strategy and structure
  • Control and management of the order book, stock and cancellations
  • Product segmentation and differentiation strategy
  • UA product sell through within the strategic account  
  • Customer satisfaction

Considers future scenarios, opportunities and risks to create action plans that align with business unit goals and UA’s overall strategic vision.

BUILD A GREAT TEAM – BUILDING TALENT: Pro-actively develops self and others by setting stretch goals and providing challenging assignments. Serves as a trusted coach or mentor that guides Teammates through development opportunities and gives feedback to ensure they are equipped to do the work independently. Creates a team identity and shared purpose to drive toward team goals. Develops and supports talent planning strategies to align with cross-functional needs.
