FP&A Professional

Marketing and Support Functions, LATAM

Location:  Panama                                                                      Reports to: Director, FP&A – LATAM

SUMMARY

This role will partner with the LATAM FP&A Manager, in providing strategic, financial, commercial and operational analytics & insights to the Latin America team in order to maximize financial returns of the region.  It will work on identifying and developing new business opportunities ensuring capital is invested with correct ROI analytics.  It will manage submission of marketing and support functions financial plan, ensuring they are submitted in accordance with global direction while developing the level of detail and accuracy.

Responsible for the financial models to assess financial performance and health of the Latin America Business, consulting with Senior Management on both Under Armour profitability and for recommending and implementing process improvement opportunities and improving commercial effectiveness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Department Planning, reporting and forecasting

Financial Planning

  • Work with LATAM FP&A Manager, marketing team and support functions to develop 5-year strategic plan; ensuring financial plan reflects regional strategy
  • Manage the quarterly forecast submissions as well as the in-month latest estimate updates for marketing; Ensuring plans are submitted in accordance with the process and continuously seeking to improve accuracy
  • Responsible for Quarterly Business Review presentations; building financial synthesis to marketing and support functions submissions

Business Analytics

  • Interpret, analyze and review financial results and KPIs of marketing and support functions to provide recommendations, ensure accountability and drive performance
  • Management reporting; giving business updates on performance and outlining and defining actions
  • Contribute to continuous development of business reports and the reporting process to ensure they are reporting developing trends and relevant metrics in the businesses in accordance with the Global framework
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly actual variance analysis versus operating plans, prior year results and current forecasts for marketing and support functions
  • Business partner with Director, Marketing LATAM and marketing leadership team to identify new business opportunities and ensure investments and operation drives to maximize return on investment
  • Work with all support function heads to understand all variances vs. plan as well as ensuring control against cost center budgets

Investment Analytics

  • Complete ROI and capital asset requests supporting marketing investments
  • Perform profitability and investment analysis on marketing projects
  • Support ROI analytics for support function projects

Financial Control

  • Monitor and review return on investment to feedback to future projects
  • Approve cost center budgets and monitor expenditure against the budgets
  • Approve capex budgets and monitor spends against those budgets

Other

  • Communicate frequently and effectively with all levels and provide recommendations to management on strategic initiatives, project execution and calendar updates
  • Presentation of results and financial plans to regional and global leadership
  • Assist in the development of yearly budgets for channels utilizing historical data and current market condition data finding opportunities to mitigate risks

Technical Attributes of Ideal Candidate:include but are not limited to the following:

  • Undergraduate Finance-related degree (Accounting/Business Administration)
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially financial modeling in Excel - preferably with VBA skills)
  • Familiarity with corporate financial accounting systems (SAP, BPC, Hyperion preferred)
  • 3 years of progressive experience in FP&A, Accounting and/ or Business Analysis
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
