Purpose of Role

ABOUT THE POSITION

•    Report Line: Sr. Manager, APAC Creation Center

POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager, APAC Creation Center, will be responsible for managing the local product creation process for Apparel within the APAC region, with a strong focus on Apparel. The role involves leading various product line initiatives and representing the category throughout the seasonal go-to-market process to enable future local product commercialization. Reporting to the Senior Manager, APAC Creation Center, this role independently oversees the complete product creation lifecycle spanning product brief formulation, design development, proto sampling, fit review, and final buy-ready sign-off. This position requires close collaboration with local category merchandising leaders to align with business strategy, long-term product strategy and drive product development for apparel. The role demands translating market insights, consumer feedback, and regional needs into clear product requirements, ensuring products are market-right, commercially viable, and brand appropriate, also demands the strong capability of project management.

Your Impact

•    Develop comprehensive product briefs, identify whitespace opportunities across APAC markets, and lead the development of differentiated, consumer-first localized apparel innovation solutions.
•    Gather and consolidate product needs from APAC markets; own the full seasonal apparel creation roadmap, set clear seasonal business targets and track end-to-end plan execution.
•    Lead cross-functional alignment with internal design teams and regional market stakeholders to lock final design directions, fabric & trim specifications, regional color palette rollout and customized color requirements.
•    Leverage deep apparel expertise, along with fabric knowledge and cost control acumen to propose and implement adjustments during proto fittings and development.
•    Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver consumer-centric, commercially viable products that meet regional needs and financial targets.
•    Act as subject matter expert, delivering compelling presentations both internally and externally.
•    Engage with consumers and apply insights to inform product decisions throughout the creation process.
•    Manage data accuracy, PLM system updates, and adherence to calendar milestones.
•    Interpret market trends and consumer feedback to shape the vision of future local-specific products.
•    Independently lead projects from concept to delivery, coordinating closely with both internal teams and external partners (designers, suppliers, vendors).
•    Maintain clear and frequent communication with external vendors and designers to ensure alignment and timely execution.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree required.
•    Minimum 8 years of experience in Merchandising and Product Creation within the apparel/athletic industry, with a focus on sports brand apparel preferred.
•    Experience working with cross-regional teams and external partners (designers, vendors, factories).
•    Based in Shanghai

•    Proven ability to lead projects independently from start to finish.
•    Strong process and timeline management skills, with the ability to drive projects forward in a fast-paced environment.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Solid experience managing the Full Product Life Cycle.
•    Strong presentation and collaboration skills.
•    Expertise in capturing qualitative & quantitative consumer insights and translating market signals into feasible, margin-aligned apparel product solutions.
•    Detail-oriented, able to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
•    Proficiency in Product Creation, and PLM systems is highly preferred.
•    A contagious passion for the Under Armour brand, product innovation, fashion, retail, and serving athletes.
