Purpose of Role

As a senior leader within the E-commerce department, the Senior Manager Marketplace (Partner Program) is responsible for setting the strategic direction and driving the execution of the EMEA marketplace program across 20 markets. This role plays a critical part in shaping the future of the brand’s digital commerce ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration with our wholesale accounts and synergy between the owned and operated brand sites and third-party marketplace platforms. Reporting directly to the Director of E-commerce, the Head of Marketplace will provide visionary leadership, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure commercial alignment across digital and wholesale channels. Given the hybrid business model, this role requires close collaboration with the wholesale team to ensure a unified approach to key and strategic accounts, maximizing growth and brand equity across all digital touchpoints. The role also includes managing and developing a high-performing team.

Your Impact

  • Define and execute the EMEA marketplace strategy across 20+ markets, ensuring alignment with regional goals.
  • Identify and onboard new marketplace partners and platforms to expand reach and revenue.
  • Develop business cases for new market entries and platform expansions.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with third-party sellers and marketplace partners.
  • Oversee partner performance, ensuring compliance with brand standards and commercial targets.
  • Own the P&L for the marketplace channel, driving revenue, margin, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs, providing regular reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Optimize partner onboarding, product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two marketplace specialists.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation, agility, and results.
  • Collaborate with logistics, customer service, and tech teams to ensure operational excellence.
  • Work closely and lead cross functional effort with the merchandising, planning, marketing and supply chain teams to ensure a cohesive customer journey.
  • Partner with product and tech teams to enhance marketplace capabilities and integrations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Commerce, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in E-commerce, with at least 5 years in a marketplace leadership role.
  • Proven track record of scaling marketplace operations across multiple markets.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed, and international environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in marketplace analytics and tools.
  • Proven leadership abilities and 3-5 years of team management including experience with training and/or coaching, delivering feedback, goal setting, and performance evaluation.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to summarize, present information and influence various levels within the organization.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment, adapt to shifting urgencies, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to evaluate processes and recommend changes which result in a greater opportunity for goal achievement, enhanced usage, or increased efficiency.
  • Must have fluency in English
  • Deep understanding of online consumer and purchase behavior. Experience in Sport or Fashion industry is a plus.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 3 days in-office per week. Beginning January 1, 2026, the in-office requirement will increase to 4 days per week. 
  • Travel: 10% of the time
