Purpose of Role

We are looking for a world-class commercial leader to elevate Under Armour’s performance in Mexico. The Director of Wholesale will own the full commercial engine across all channels, delivering sustainable, profitable growth in one of UA’s most important international markets.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, action-driven builder who scales businesses, drives accountability, challenges the status quo, and develops high-performing teams.

As a key member of the Mexico leadership team, this role partners cross-functionally to bring clarity, structure, and world-class customer engagement, strengthening Under Armour’s position across the country.

Your Impact

  1. Strategic & Commercial Leadership

• Lead the strategic direction, cross-functional execution, and financial performance of the wholesale business.

• Build and execute a multi-year growth strategy aligned with Americas and global priorities.

• Define clear business frameworks across key accounts, ensuring consistent forecasting, planning, and accountability.

• Allocate resources and set priorities to deliver the annual and long-term business plan with excellence.

  1. Customer & Market Management

• Manage and grow partnerships across a diverse portfolio of customers:

  • 20+ Customers, including 4 strategic accounts: Innovasport, Liverpool, dportenis, Amazon, Mercado Libre, Marti, etc
  • 9+ Banners: Sporting Goods, Department Stores, Pure Players, Distributors, Catalogs, Family Value, Teamwear, Liquidation, Field Accounts
  • Presence in 1,300+ doors nationwide

• Lead regular in-market visits across Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, León, Culiacán, Mazatlán, Puebla, Pachuca, and others.

• Ensure full implementation, compliance, and optimization of Trade Terms.

  1. Team & Culture Leadership

• Build, inspire, and develop a high-performing commercial team grounded in accountability, speed, discipline, and collaboration.

• Champion a culture of transparency, ownership, and performance—where risks are surfaced early and solutions come fast.

• Strengthen cross-functional partnership with Marketing, Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, Sports Marketing, and Retail.

  1. Brand & Marketplace Excellence

• Grow the Under Armour brand meaningfully and efficiently across wholesale channels.

• Strengthen brand presence through best-in-class marketplace execution, storytelling, and category leadership.

• Build trusted relationships with retailers, industry leaders, associations, and key external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Senior commercial leader with experience in Sporting Goods, Apparel/Footwear or broader Consumer Goods industries.

• Proven track record of sustained growth in Mexico, LATAM, or comparable markets.

• Experience leading large, complex customers and diverse banners.

• Ability to manage full P&L levers: topline, margin, pricing, terms, profitability.

• Strong general management mindset with deep commercial rigor.

• Consistent success building, managing, and developing high-performance teams.

• 10+ years of experience, including 5+ in senior leadership roles.

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or similar preferred.

• Fluent in Spanish and English.

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our México office.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.
